Black Friday Shopping – How to win the big game

While Black Friday shopping typically doesn’t involve helmets, shoulder pads, or cleats there are many parallels that qualify it as a sport.  Like any sport it requires dedication, strategy, blood, sweat, and tears.  I don’t consider myself a pro but have a few pointers that will help you win the big game.

First, have a game plan.  Know what you are looking for and where you need to go to get it.  Write a list and stick to it.  Without a strategy you are like Peyton Manning without any blockers.  You have no chance at success.

Second, have a wingman.  Always take someone who can jump in the line to checkout as soon as you get in the store.  This way you avoid the nasty lines and have a chance to make it to a few other stores before all the deals are gone.

And last but not least, don’t be scared to throw a few elbows and fight for the win.  Black Friday shopping at stores like Target, Kohl’s, Best Buy, and others supports Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory.  Those that fight the hardest for what they want, get what they want.

Just like any athletic competition, it’s not possible to win if you only execute part of your game plan.  Make a list, check it twice, and make sure that you’re naughty not nice.  Good luck.
