So the results are out and we have discovered that the car that has benefitted the most from the Cash for Clunkers program has been the Ford Focus. Good. Fine. After that the company that is seeing stars is Toyota. They have three cars in the top five most sold through this program.
What I find so interesting is that we as Americans seem to be okay with this. Our government is spending our tax money to buy new cars for us and yet foreign companies are reaping the rewards. I’m not suggesting we ignore foreign competitors completely, I’m suggesting we start acknowledging we need to help ourselves out.
