One of the great resources that is available to people on the Internet is the sheer amount of classified ads that can be utilized in order to save money. Whereas in the past people were mostly confined to looking in their newspapers for good deals, using online directories today is simple and easy and it allows people to find exactly what they are looking for.

Indeed, these directories and websites can be utilized to find everything from cars to electronics to housing, should there be a need. All that is required is a bit of net know-how, as well as the ability to effectively filter between the legitimate selections and those that aren’t any good.

Using this process, it is comp, etely possible to find goods and services that would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. If you want it, it is out there. It’s all just a matter of taking the time to look and figuring out the best way to get a deal and save money.

Today I saw a lot of news articles talking about how we are probably more optimistic about the economy than we should be. Ouch! Right? Did anyone else feel that dagger? Okay, I might be overdramatizing but I just feel like every other day we are told different things. Monday it’s hold on to your money, Tuesday it’s there is no better time to invest, Wendesday we’re back to holding on to our money and by Friday we’re gripping our money so tight it’s actually turning to dust in our hands.

So what is the answer? I think it’s that we should be comfortable with all of our financial dealings right now. If we’re comfortable with a little bit of risk, then do it. If we’re not, then back off, put your money in a jar, and hold on to that jar for as long as you can. I’ll bet there is going to be a lot more difficult ahead, but, we’re a good country with a lot of good hard workers. If we can boost that morale and play into the need to work then we will lift ourselves out of this in no time. So let’s all pull together and act comfortably so we can move forward and fix this madness.

Credit score is one of those things that is very important in our fast paced world today. Since we no longer just know if some is a dutiful creditor than there has to be some way to track the history of those who take loans. This system that we use is the credit score.

Here is the beauty of it for us, we can manipulate the system if we just do a few things. Its kind of like that idea that taking a test doesn’t show how knowledgeable you are, it shows you are good at taking that test. A good credit score doesn’t show how good you are at paying off debt, but how good you are at building credit.

If we can learn how to build credit and implement those principles in our lives than we can be given more opportunities at financial success through our higher credit. Getting your credit score back in shape is like getting back in shape physically. You can’t just decide to do it and expect it to happen in a couple weeks.

To fix your credit score you will have to have sustained effort in following the tricks to building credit. This article gives some great ideas on how to build up your credit from top, to bottom. I would also love to hear any of your tricks to build credit.

Heres the deal. We all want to pay off our debts, we all want to live with in our means, and we all want to have a hefty retirement plan, but most of us are not doing that. My question is this: “Have we made a personal plan?”

Its a beautiful idea to think that if we want something, even deeply desire something, it will come to pass. Unfortunately that is completely false and is the kind of mindset that will keep us from the goals that we most desire. All good things involve work, good old fashioned work. I know when we hear work we automatically think pain and sacrifice. Well, there probably will have to be some of that, but if we learn to work with a plan we are hurting less and working smart, rather than just working.

If you have financial goals you had better make a plan or else just forget about those things happening the way you want them to. The wonderful thing about a plan you try to follow is, even if you fall short you still usually do better than you would have, had you had no plan.

Here is what has helped me. Make the plan, try and live the plan and then review and adjust your plan. The review is one of the most important parts. Look at how what you decided to do is working out, maybe its just too much or hopefully, to little. Your financial situations are different at all times of life so you should be looking to make adjustments according to what is happening with being let go, promotions, and family developments.

You will find that a plan will give you direction and understanding for things that you have only thought about and not put into action. Make the plan and you will see that your desires become realities!

I just drove by the gas station today and noticed that we are almost below $2 a galloon! I feel like its early Christmas! So now we are not spending a load of money that we thought we were spending. What to do with that money that would be burning in our vehicles right now?

Here’s a thought. If you could live with it out of your budget before than why not try to continue living with out it? Channel the money that would go to gas, towards whatever debt you have. If you have no debt than you should still take that money out and save it. That is the way that you become financially stable.

Gas is just the beginning. Take a look at your costs and as you pay things off, don’t just start spending that money, rather put that money towards other debt or save it so that you are actually steppin up rather than constantly in the hole.

These habits are some of the greatest for getting out of debt and staying out of debt. There are hundreds of thousands of people that have come from far in the black to the comforts of financial freedom. Don’t look at paying one thing off as sign that you should start spending money on something else. If you have debt, always rechannel the cash to new debt once other costs are gone or have deminished.

You will be surprised that you can still make it, your debt will drop and you will eventually find money in your bank account. In order to munch on tasty treats in the future (figuratively speeching) you have to be preserving those cookies Put them in the financiaol cookie jar and then you will have them in the future. Ummm yum!

You know who I love? The subtle financial powerhouses. I’m talking about the older men or women who have a high paying job, but realize that they don’t need everything. These people are not held down by the economy because they own their finances.

I was dropping off the dry cleaning today and I saw this older guy roll up in the old clunker. To be honest it really wasn’t that bad, but you get the idea. Well this guy is kind of a big shot turns out and he could own a nicer car, but you know he is just sitting on this massive nest egg. That is how you become a power house. I’m not going to say that I fall in that category, but just the same if you are willing to give up some of the “Hey I’m, well off” items and the not nessesary comforts then you will save yourself a tone of money. Do it. Do it!

I liked this article so check it out and don’t be intimidated by the name. Really we’re probably all poor or should be making financial decisions like we are, so this is just good advice.

Does anybody remember having a piggy bank? Does anybody remember how the piggy bank worked? Here’s the thing, you save a little here and there, then someday you have a whole bunch and you can use it for whatever you want. Whatever happened to the piggy bank mentality?

You know what bothers me to no end? “I can’t save any money. I have too many bills.” My friends there are always ways to save money. Those ways are what make up the piggy bank mentality. If you are saving a little here and a little there it is possible to, during the course of a year, put away some relatively hefty cash.

The goal is to always be saving. Get in the habit! Even if you can only save $10 or $20 a week that all adds up down the road, especially because now days our adult piggy banks give us interest. Imagine ten years worth of $20 a week going into your savings. With a decent interest rate your egg can become Easter. When you have the ability to save more, save more. As your pay increases, save more. Lastly, slash those unnecessary bills and save more!

This is a sweet article I read this morning with creative and logical ways to save money by slashing your bills. Its the article that got me thinking on this subject. Check it out and get back to the piggy bank!

I was getting into my email the other day and I saw this article on “10 More Reasons you Aren’t Rich.” I read it and I liked it a lot. Then I decided to find you the article and link it. In the process of finding the article I was looking for I discovered that that article was actually a continuation of a previous article titled “10 Reasons You Aren’t Rich.” Thus we all score together. Now instead of the 10 I had originally planned to post there are 20! I will link them in order so that you can read them that way. Believe me, they are very insightful. Confession: I had a couple of “oops” moments myself. I just wanted to add one more thing about these articles: I am sure that we would all love to be rich and no doubt these things will help, but if you are like myself and much of America you are just worried about financial security in the crazy economy that we are experiencing. We would be content if we don’t have to stress the bills right? So take these articles with a grain of salt, but look for the items that would really save you a lot of money. If you are not doing one of those things, it could be the thing that is keeping you from the security that you are looking for. Find it! Change it! Save the money and strengthen the cookie jar!

Here they are:
