With summer just around the corner I thought it would be a good idea to talk about some of the great things there are to do for free in your area. No matter where you live, your city is trying to get you outside and involved in the community.

Libraries aren’t just for kids!

Not only is it wise to sign your kids up for the summer reading program to keep them readin all summer long, but the library has things for everyone. Most libraries allow you to check out music, magazines and even movies! Thats right, instead of paying to rent a video check it out for free at your local library. Libraries also have fun activities to keept the kids busy while you can sit back and read a book.

Community Centers

Comunity centers are full of advertisements for local events going on in you area. From concerts to craft shows to picnics in the park. A lot of public parks even offer free lunch for kids and cheap craft ideas. Go run around the park with the kids, get some excerise, and stop in and take a dip in the local pool. Community pools are usually pretty inexpenisive and have reduced rate family nights. Community centers also offer inexpensive classes to continue your learning and get the kids involved in sports or classes.
